Wow. What a month. I started out this month with donating plasma on the first. (More about that process in another post.) By the end of July I was feeling very hopeless and concerned about where I was at financially, and it really felt like there was nothing else I could do but pray for a miracle. I had been applying for jobs to no avail. I did get an interview for one, but it didn’t end up working out. In retrospect it was a blessing because of how far away it is from where I live. Rejection is never easy, and I did have to process those feelings. But I was still proud of myself for putting myself out there -which is something that’s really scary for me. Something that I think helped with not feeling hurt by not getting it is that every no is one step closer to a yes. I believe that to be true and really encouraging to keep trying. <3
On the 2nd I had the day off and despite feeling discouraged from all of the no’s, I decided to apply for another job on a whim. Because why not? And miraculously, I got a phone call the next day, an interview that evening, and then suddenly I had a new job that I started later on that week. And I am very grateful. Beyond grateful. So now we are at the end of August, and I have been able to raise the money I needed to have by this time. I’m sure working more isn’t the dream for most people, but this opportunity has been a real blessing, even if it’s hard or tiring or stressful sometimes. <3
-I was able to go swimming today. I’m not sure how much longer the pool will be open since it’s going to be September, so I wanted to make sure I could go today just in case. Hopefully it will remain open while the weather is still nice! :) Anyway, there is a lot going on in this world, so I wish you goodness and health and healing in whatever you may be going through & I’m grateful for you being here. <3
