I don't know if there has been a more exhilarating start to my day. I woke up around 6 am, and although we just changed our clocks yesterday and it would have been 7 am if it were the other day, that is still earlier than I usually wake up. I did one load of laundry last night before I went to bed, but I still had a couple more loads to wash, so that's what I did around 7:00. I do know that the last load was finished before 9 am, which I am proud of. I am glad to have that out of the way. Another great part of my morning -not that laundry is typically considered the highlight of anyone's day- is that I actually ate a decent breakfast. My mom was making chicken for her lunch, so I had some with a sunny side up egg. It really gave the chicken a lot of flavor, and it makes me wonder why I've never had that combination before. I also had peanut butter and jam on rice cakes with a glass of milk. I watched a bit of TV. (Tangled: the series) If you liked Tangled, you would also probably like the series as well. I think it's fun, and the main characters are voiced by the same actors as the movie. Plus, there are new songs by Alan Menken who is an absolute legend.
I was dressed and ready to head over to the World Market by 9:40 am. (They open at 10 am most days of the week.) I waited in the car for about 10 minutes , but once I saw others start to gather by the door, I went up to wait with my fellow golden llama enthusiasts for the store to open. Admittedly, I have been kind of nervous/excited all morning about this scavenger hunt and just the prospect of finding a golden llama. In fact, these past two nights I have had dreams of finding things. The first one was about cracking these huge, beautiful Easter eggs that had many layers and collecting money from inside them while looking for the main prize. Last night I dreamed about searching for and finding a golden llama and trying to figure out what the riddle would be for today. Now the next thing I am about to tell you is the craziest thing ever, but I was the first person to find a golden llama in the store today!!! I was and still am ecstatic! I had searched what felt like the entire store before I spotted it, and when I found it I was almost in disbelief, but also in complete joy. I knew right then that I needed to move the (clear) boxes that were in front of it and that it was only a matter of seconds before I could have it in my hands. You better believe that this was a moment of pure happiness. With this golden llama (Golden Llama #3), I won a $20 coupon. Here is what I ended buying:
- A 25.4 oz. bottle of blood orange soda
- Llama sticky note set (480 decorated stickies)
- 2 ornaments (world globe and gold JOY ornament)
- Another llama cookie cutter (I bought two on Saturday) &
- Little bar of soap (almond scented)
I do need to go back to the World Market because they must have forgotten my gold earrings in the basket when I was checking out. (They were very small.) :( Although, it does explain why I ended up paying less than I expected. I had to buy the extra cookie cutter and the small soap to get me past $20. The sale on the ornaments also probably contributed. <3 I love the World Market. May the rest of your week be filled with joy and happiness!
Save the drama for the llama,
